It’s that old adage once again, ‘the female of the species is more deadly than the male’, and it seems this holds true when it comes to deciding the success of a marriage…if the female is happy it’ll SURVIVE! According to a study published in the Journal of Marriage and Family, in most cases the more content the women is with her life, the better the husband feels about things, no matter how he might feel about their marriage as a whole. Professor Carr surmises:
"I think it comes down to the fact that when a wife is satisfied with the marriage she tends to do a lot more for her husband, which has a positive effect on his life. Men tend to be less vocal about their relationships and their level of marital unhappiness might not be translated to their wives."
So if a man is unhappy, it seems that a women could carry on none the wiser, nothing new there then he chaps!
