Dentist Dr Katz says that a varied intake of dark chocolate may strengthen your teeth’s enamel, whilst green tea may stop bacteria sticking to your teeth because of its tannin content. Cheese is relatively alkaline, consequently no more than 30g of this (a small matchbox size portion) a day may reduce the acidity of the mouth, reducing the likelihood of dental erosion. And the cherry…or should I say strawberry on top is the malic acid content of strawberries, malic acid is known to contribute to the removal of stains from your teeth.
Conversely red wine, tea and coffee are likely to stain your teeth, so getting the dietary balance right is key to pearly white teeth!
