World Cup Final 8 Were All Group Winners : First Time Since 1986

The 2014 World Cup in Brazil has thrown up some shocks and inspiring performances, particularly from the non- European teams. Brazil, Colombia, Holland, Costa Rica, France, Germany and Argentina all make it through to the final 8 of the World Cup, who incidentally were all winners of their respective groups. What makes this so interesting is that this is the first time that this has happened since 1986, the first time groups led straight to knockout stages.

It’s been an enthralling contest so far, here’s hoping the final stages bring about some more remarkable outcomes for the history books!
