wasn't sure about buying protein but glad i brought this one, have been using for just over a week, taste is fantastic, dosnt mix as well as i hoped, the bag is huge and will last a good couple of months, will probably buy something different next time unless i make all kind of gains with this product.

Got chocolate. Pretty good taste, mixes well, and the price is right. Anyway, it's protein! C'mon, man up, knock it back and go lift some heavy stuff :-)

Proteins are one of three macro-nutrients required by the human body and eating adequate amounts every day is essential to maintain your health.

Proteins function as the building blocks for bones, muscles, cartilage, skin and blood. It helps the body repair tissue damage and maintain a properly functioning immune system. The body also requires proteins to make hormones and vitamins.
As our bodies cannot store protein, it is important to eat it every day.

The muscles in our bodies are partly made up of protein and so one of the benefits of eating it is to maintain healthy muscles.
Proteins are considered incomplete or complete proteins. Complete proteins contain all the essential amino acids, while incomplete proteins don’t. Good sources of complete proteins come from animals. Milk and milk derivatives, particularly whey powder, are complete proteins.
When we eat foods that contain protein, the body breaks it down into amino acids. Amongst other things, these amino acids are necessary for building muscle and blood. There are 22 amino acids, which are divided into two categories, essential amino acids and non-essential amino acids. Certain essential amino acids can only be derived from eating protein.

To get the proper health benefits of protein, most people need about 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight each day. When additional demands are made on the body, such as training for sports, pregnancy or while recovering from an injury, more protein is needed to by the body. This can be up to 2g per kilogram of body weight.
