Since turning vegan I've been looking for a protein powder to help gain weight, this tastes fantastic in a smoothie with banana and oat milk. Recommended :)
Vanilla is great with kale or spinach or super greens powder. Choc tastes great even better with cacao and spinach i used them on there own with almond or pea milk and they taste great honestly amazing for the price vs whey 🤫👍
This product comes in a bag with squeeze along the top seal. The powder itself is on the thick side, but this does not create any issues. It comes with a scoop for the right amount per serving. I have a rubbish little blender, so this actually blends up quite well with water or oat milk( if I had a better blender, the results may be even better). The taste is quite good(vanilla frosting)to drink and also to add to food e.g pancake mix or porridge. So overall, very pleased I gave it a try.
Have been using whey protein for years, but saw this plant-based version for a lower price and with higher protein per serving. Thought I’d give it a shot, and no, I’m not vegan. Got the Berry Crumble and Vanilla Icing flavors to mix. Flavors are good, but the texture is a bit chalky compared to standard whey protein. I’m glad I tried the plant-based stuff, but I’ll be going back to whey (vanilla ice cream flavor) next time unless Optimum Health can get around the chalky texture.
